Powerhouse Products introduces the PH2100PRi portable inverter generator. The PH2100PRi has a 4.35 HP engine for a maximum output of 2100 watts. Using an optional parallel kit, this parallel-ready generator can be combined with another PH2100PRi to produce a maximum output of 4,200 watts. A convenient fuel primer bulb and automatic choke ensures a fast start. A remote start up to 75-feet is also a standard feature. The engine can be set to run at variable speed for fuel economy as power demands or at constant speed for 100% full power. Other standard features include an engine-reset button that will automatically restart the engine if the unit shuts down due to inverter overload, one 5-20R 20 amp duplex receptacle, internal circuit breaker, emergency stop control, and a convenient carry handle. Purchased generator because electric start feature, unfortunately any time the generator is cold or has cooled off, it will not start. I have to go out and push the prime bulb several times and crank with the starter motor and hope the battery will last long enough for it to start, but usually it won't. I end up having to pull on the rope starter 20, 30, 40 times before it will start. Once the generator is warmed up, it works as "advertised". I am well into my 60's and can't be pulling on a rope this much. If the manufacturer does not have a "fix" for this problem, I will be returning the unit.
After returning unit to service department for repairs still had starting issues. I replaced the start switch (twice) and battery (once), it continued to have the cold start issue.
Powerhouse has worked with me in trying to resolve the problem and decided to replace the unit with a new one. The new one is working as advertised.
I ordered this generator inverter from Amazon. I was looking for something to use during any outage at home (1500w microwave or 1500w heater,etc). I received the generator 6 days after ordered in excelent conditions. I have tested it few days after with great success. It turn on just adding oil, gas and connecting the internal battery, then run the remote start! I never used the rope to start this generator. I connected the 1500w heater for about 5 minutes with no issue. This generator its a great option if you do not wanna pay 1k in a H or Y. (Just remember pumping the gas with the blue button before try to start for first time AND it is a little heavy, 30kgrs).
